Prime Time — The Recovery Story 30 Million People Watched

Telling a Recovery Story in Public: What Maria Power's MMK episode shows about shame, survival and change.

Maria Power, a recovery coach and wellness mentor, points to MMK in the Philippines as a checkable proof point from her own life. Her story drew 30 million viewers, with 40,000 to 50,000 tweets on the night it aired. She uses that public story to move addiction out of shame and into a conversation about what people survive before they change. Listeners leave with a recovery story big enough to discuss publicly, but concrete enough to recognize privately.
