You Can Find a Way or Find an Excuse: Why There Is Never a Perfect Time to Write Your Book

Writing Through Imperfect Circumstances: Resilience and purpose helped Cassie keep writing through hardship.

Cassie didn't write eight books because life was easy. She wrote them because it wasn't.

Her first book was written while her family were bringing her food parcels because she was struggling to feed her children. Her second while juggling two freelance jobs. Her third while caring for her mum. Her fourth after returning to work part-time. Before her fifth, she almost quit and even applied to become a cleaner.

Then came lockdown, homeschooling, losing her mum six weeks before her seventh book was released, and recovering from shingles while writing her eighth.

There was never a perfect time.

Cassie believes you can always find a way or find an excuse. And sometimes the difference between the two is remembering that someone, somewhere, needs to hear your message.

Her story is about resilience, purpose and choosing to keep going - even when everything tells you to stop.
