Good parents still make their children feel unsafe sometimes

There is a painful gap between being a loving parent and always being experienced as safe by your child. Nadim can speak candidly about the moment he realised that even as a parenting coach, his own anger sometimes made his children feel unsafe, and why denial is often the first place parents go when confronted with that truth. This is not a conversation about shaming parents; it is about helping them stay open long enough to repair. For parenting audiences, this creates a rare and honest discussion about accountability without self-destruction.

Dads need to talk about anger and shame before their children inherit it

Many fathers want to be calmer, safer, and more emotionally present, but they were raised with very little language for anger, shame, vulnerability, or repair. Nadim can speak to this from the inside: as a father, parenting coach, and man who has had to confront the gap between loving his children and always making them feel safe. His voice is powerful here because he does not frame men as broken or dangerous; he frames them as emotionally undereducated and capable of changing when they have the right tools. For dad, masculinity, men’s work, and conscious parenting podcasts, this gives hosts a direct, honest conversation about fatherhood that feels grounded rather than performative.

Your child’s difficult behaviour is often a story they do not yet know how to tell

When children lash out, shut down, hit siblings, refuse instructions, or seem suddenly unlike themselves, parents often focus on correcting the behaviour in front of them. Nadim reframes those moments as untranslated emotional information, shaped by thoughts, feelings, shame, and the child’s still-developing brain. His own turning point came when his daughter’s anger led to the discovery that she believed she was “a bad person,” which showed him how quickly a child can get trapped in a doom loop without the right conversation. This is a strong fit for parenting podcasts because it helps parents respond with more precision, less fear, and more useful questions.
