Why most AI initiatives fail because companies confuse strategy with adoption

Many leadership teams believe the hard part of AI is choosing the right tools or approving a strategy deck, but that’s where momentum usually dies. Sid has seen pilots succeed on paper while real usage collapses because no one redesigned how work actually gets done day to day. The missing piece isn’t vision-it’s ownership, support, and reinforcement inside real workflows, where people default to old habits under pressure. This conversation reframes AI failure as an adoption problem, not a technology problem, and shows why execution beats intention every time.

Sid Bharath is a Vancouver-based founder who’s spent his career at the intersection of technology, growth, and how companies operate in practice. He started in consulting, watching how large firms modernize operations by upgrading systems and tightening processes. That early view of “technology as organizational change” stuck with him.

From there, Sid moved into the startup world and into growth roles, helping software companies find channels that work, test them hard, and scale what’s repeatable. Over time he built a reputation for being both strategic and hands-on, someone who can zoom out to the business model and zoom in to the workflow that’s slowing a team down.

His AI arc began before it was a boardroom buzzword. In 2020, he started Broca, experimenting with early large language models to generate ad and marketing copy. The experience gave him a durable instinct for where AI helps, where it breaks, and what it takes to ship something people rely on.

After consulting with AI teams and leading an AI venture studio that built and launched new companies, Sid noticed a gap: large enterprises could afford talent and infrastructure to move fast, while mid-sized companies were stuck between urgency and uncertainty.
