Meet Sam Beck, a talented writer and illustrator based in Toronto. As the creative force behind the fantasy trilogy Verse (the final book of which will be out August 2024) Sam has left an indelible mark in the YA Fantasy genre.

Her Journey began as a graphic designer working in traditional advertising and web design, but she was always drawn to the world of illustration. She decided to take a leap of faith, dedicating a year to pursue her dream of making a full-time living through her artistic talents.

Sam's artistic prowess quickly garnered attention, with two writers approaching her to illustrate their comic projects, kicking off her career in comics. Her first comic, Verse, began its evolution as a web-comic. Verse gained substantial backing and readership, ultimately leading to a successful Kickstarter campaign for its first book and subsequent books being published by Vault Comics. The trilogy's unique world-building, inspired by the enchanting landscapes Sam enjoys visiting, unfolds seamlessly as readers delve into the narrative, a testament to Sam's dedication to creating an immersive and accessible experience.
