Exploring Deep Theological Themes Through Fiction

Laurence Stephenson is an inspirational Christian fiction author whose writing journey began after a transformative spiritual experience at age 30. Raised in a non-religious household, Laurence’s life changed when he embraced Christianity, which later became the foundation of his creative work. His debut novel, published by Austin Macauley, follows the story of Levi, one of the thieves crucified beside Jesus. After his death, Levi unexpectedly finds himself in heaven, where he encounters biblical figures such as Adam, Eve, and Moses, and embarks on a personal journey to understand Jesus and why he was saved. Laurence’s storytelling blends rich theological themes with an accessible and engaging narrative, making the story relatable to both Christians and those exploring faith.

Laurence’s personal journey as a first-time author is equally inspiring. Working with his dyslexia, he sought help from editors to refine his writing and successfully published his debut novel. His second book, also accepted by Austin Macauley, continues to explore spiritual themes, telling the stories of individuals from diverse backgrounds who undergo life-changing spiritual experiences.

As a podcast guest, Laurence brings unique insights into faith, personal transformation, and the process of writing Christian fiction.
