Key topicsMen are losing energy, strength, and drive years before anyone checks their hormonesMany men hit midlife and start accepting fatigue, weight gain, reduced motivation, weaker libido, and difficulty maintaining muscle as the unavoidable cost of getting older. Furhan can reframe that decline as a signal worth investigating, not something men must normalize, hide, or push through. By looking at labs, symptoms, lifestyle, recovery, and metabolic health together, he can explain why testosterone optimization is about restoring the baseline men quietly feel they have lost, not chasing extremes. This conversation gives male listeners a grounded way to understand what their body signals before low energy becomes their new normal. Women are losing themselves in midlife while their lab results say nothing is wrongToo many women navigating perimenopause, menopause, or hormonal imbalance are told that mood changes, weight fluctuations, low energy, brain fog, sleep disruption, and low libido are simply part of life. Furhan can challenge that dismissal by explaining how estrogen and testosterone affect metabolism, mood, cognition, sleep, muscle, and long-term vitality, far more than just reproductive health. His approach focuses on comprehensive evaluation and individualized sublingual hormone therapy rather than one-size-fits-all fixes, pellets, or rushed symptom management. For women who feel unlike themselves but are told everything looks “normal,” this conversation offers a clearer way to understand what may be happening and what thoughtful hormone optimization can support. Weight loss keeps failing because no one is treating the reason the body is resisting itMany people are told to eat less and move more, even when their weight is driven by insulin resistance, hormonal imbalance, chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, or years of poor recovery. Furhan can reframe stubborn weight as a medical signal, not a character flaw or a simple discipline problem. His approach looks at the full picture behind weight gain, including labs, symptoms, hormones, lifestyle, and metabolic health, so treatment is guided by what is actually happening in the body rather than a generic diet plan. For listeners who have done everything “right” and still cannot sustain results, this conversation explains why physician-led weight management can create change that calorie restriction alone cannot. Internal Medicine Physician and Founder of Noor Esthetique & Wellness Center

14+ years Practising medicine since 201240+ U.S. states licensed to practise medicineTens of thousands Patients treated across hospital, telehealth & clinic careU.S. Air Force Officer & reservist

Dr. Furhan Qureshi’s career has been shaped by one recurring fascination: transformation. Long before he entered medicine, he was drawn to how people change—physically, psychologically, and under pressure. That curiosity followed him through medical school, where an early back injury quietly redirected his path away from surgery and toward internal medicine, a discipline that let him study the human body in its entirety rather than in parts.

He went on to work as a hospitalist in high-acuity inpatient settings, often taking on complex cases that demanded both speed and judgment. During COVID, he spent years on the front lines in hospitals and ICUs, caring for patients at their most vulnerable while public trust in medicine grew increasingly strained. Alongside this work, he served—and continues to serve—as an officer and reservist in the United States Air Force, where his training includes combat and disaster medicine and a deep familiarity with how the body responds under extreme conditions.

That full-spectrum exposure, from severe systemic illness to battlefield medicine, now informs how he approaches aesthetic and wellness care. In 2023, while deployed on a joint U.S.–Peruvian Air Force exercise, Furhan began laying the groundwork for Noor Esthetique & Wellness Center, handling regulatory and operational planning from hotel rooms at night after completing his military duties during the day.

About this episode

What if the injection your provider is offering you has never been tested on a single human being?

You are hearing a lot of people claiming they've healed their chronic pain, boosted their performance, and turned back the clock.

But some of the most popular peptides on the market today are technically illegal to prescribe, sourced from unknown suppliers, and have zero completed human trials behind them.

The FDA just made a major announcement that could change all of that. And you need to know what it means before anyone injects anything into your body.

In this episode, Dr. Kate Dee sits down withDr. Furhan Qureshi, an internal medicine physician and med spa owner practicing outside Washington, D.C. Together, they break down what peptides actually are, why the hype exploded after the GLP-1 boom, and why the most popular one right now is still banned by professional sports anti-doping agencies.

Chapters:

00:03:21 - Why GLP-1 success created a peptide gold rush

00:04:13 - FDA ban and sudden reversal explained

00:08:27 - Where peptides cross into unsafe territory

00:11:42 - Why social media is driving demand

00:13:18 - The peptide linked to melanoma and seizures

00:19:47 - Growth hormone peptides and cancer concerns

00:21:28 - The allergic reactions raising red flags

00:25:12 - Infection and contamination risks explained

00:28:11 - The compounding pharmacy loophole

00:35:14 - The limits of current treatments

00:38:41 - Why most peptide studies are unreliable

00:40:03 - What real evidence should look like

00:43:39 - The stem cell warning for patients

00:45:06 - The cost barrier to real research

00:48:09 - What real clinical trials could look like

You'll find out which peptide Dr. Dee says no one should be using. You'll learn what the FDA's new policy actually changes, and what it doesn't. And you'll hear two physicians get honest about why even they aren't rushing to offer these treatments yet.

Press play and learn what the FDA's big announcement actually means for your safety.
